We docked at Noumea as part of our cruise itinerary. Bus shuttle service from ship drops you off directly at these markets situated above daily tour bookings offices. Very small market selling local souvenirs at affordable prices. Takes about half an hour to explore fully....More

An interesting blend of tourist things and clothes along with a large section for the locals with the local food. The sellers were very happy to chat even if they didn't expect a sale. Loved the huge purple avocados Easy to access via HOHO bus

Visiting this place, open in the morning, we felt like we were living the life of a local ! Prices are quite high, groceries especially but as many things in Noumea. Highly recommended.

Watch out for the crepe seller, she overcharges tourists. There is a cute sign in French if your rude to her she'll double charge you, but that's what she does in in any case , clever way to get off the hook, if caught. The...More

Great Melanesian coffee at the little cafe - very strong espresso. Perfect. Bakery goods are very reasonably prices as is the local fruit (various forms of passionfruit - pineapples etc - very good. Of course the rip off part of the market is very obviously...More

We had the pleasure of docking in Noumea with Carnival Legend. What was on offer at the market was lovely and well priced. The locals were very friendly and the amenities were spotless!

We have been here twice now on a Saturday and Thursday. Saturday’s market is much bigger but of course lots more people. You need to come early as they start to pack up at around 11.30 am on week days. I found the goods interesting...More

Not a huge amount of stalls but some beautiful handmade and unique things. Some lovely bags and kids clothes. Not that cheap but that's Noumea. Glad we stopped in, spent a hundred dollars in the blink of an eye! Had a lot of fun using...More

The markets are free to visit. They are held in covered areas so sheltered from sun or rain. We went by HOHO bus at $9 Australian. You can catch a local bus or even a taxi. Costs are minimal
