This museum is a revelation. It showcases the best of Paraguayan art - from pre-Colombian through colonial to contemporary. Well curated and displayed pieces in an impressive new building. Attentive staff and a great museum shop to boot. Can't go wrong!

Worth the effort for a visit, a range from native crafts to modern art. Better than alternatives downtown.

I spent about 45 minutes in this quite small museum. It was a few blocks from my hotel (Esplendor). I was the only person there! The pottery was well presented. As I remember, all labels were in Spanish

This is my favorite museum in Asunción. It’s always worth a visit for both its permanent collection or for a temporary exhibition.

The museum is tucked away in a residential area, and doesn't look like much from the outside. But inside is a fantastic array of well displayed art and historical artifacts. This is a fascinating museum with stimulating artworks and interesting insights into historical Paraguayan and...More

I visited this place with low expectations as the subject matter suggested to be a collection of pottery... and I was glad that my expectations were shattered completely. This is a historic art gallery, with very diverse and interesting story to tell about Paraguay from...More

Privately funded for the construction this is clearly the most extensive collection of art, design, and cultural artifacts in the country. We were delighted to find ceramics made by a local artist we had visited and seen her at work.
