This historical fort has recently undergone a decade-long renovation. While I drove past it almost daily during this time, I couldn't imagine why it was taking so long. Having visited it yesterday (Dec. 13, 2018), I can say it was worth the wait! The expansive...More

Only the small tower - used to be a lighthouse - was visible/available. Building and rebuilding was going one all around, so really access was available. So nothing must to say for this sight for now.

This is where the city began. There was this and nothing else around it. Now it is near some of the busiest intersections in the city. It's a bit stark, but a must see just for what it represents. It's also surrounded by lots of...More

Marvelous structure of olden times, standing still at modern times without bowing its head to the sand storm. One of the prestige of Abu Dhabi and UAE.Located in between Al Khalidiya and Alnasr street.

Not open to the public apart from on the festival days. Be aware that the festival and the Qasr you visit there was built in the 1980s. The real one is a royal palace and I wouldnt try and get in there!!!
