It was a wonderful experience. Our guide was Mohamed Iqbal. He was knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We saw everything as promised and never felt rushed. We will be back, 🇦🇪

We had a great time. The mosque is so huge and beautiful, simply amazing!! Our guide Hamad Alblooshi took us in a tour around the mosque, he is very knowledgeable and made our experience truly great!! We learned a lot from him. Highly recommend visiting and ask for the tour, it's free!!

Fascinating insight into the workings and daily routines of a hugely impressive mosque.
Khalid was our guide on a tour of most of the key areas of this spectacular place of worship. He made everyone feel at ease and involved the group with lots of questions and fascinating nuggets of information. I strongly recommend taking the tour (which is free anyway) rather than just visiting, because of the increased access.
An excellent hour spent.

Visit via organised tour, you can do yourself ( free) but this was part of tour of three other places and was actually worth the small amount extra you pay, they also provided cloths for ladies to wear ( which was helpful)

This is one of the most beautiful Mosque's in the world. Every hallway, chandelier, marble and tile work was stunning.

Free guided tours of this, the largest mosque in the UAE—and one of 10 largest mosques in the world. Tours last 45-60 minutes departing exactly on the hour from the dome central entry on the east side. It takes at least 30 minutes from the Visitor Center ticket entry until you walk through a Tolerance Path tunnel-like passage and arrive up an escalator to the mosque grounds. The tour is extremely worthwhile and is the only way to actually enter the mosque interior. Otherwise you do a self-guided tour, which just means you basically walk around without gaining any knowledge. The mosque is white and beautiful; photos are permitted, except for the Sheikh’s mausoleum.
Our guide, Abdulah Hasani, really enhanced our visit. His English, which he learned from kindergarten, was excellent. From the main entrance we made our way by 1,096 stunning columns decorated with inlaid semi-precious stone flowers to the Main Prayer Hall on the west side to the North Ablution (washing place).
Well worth coming for the architecture and for the words and thoughts.
The guard, Arthur Yohu, at the top of the escalator was especially helpful and encouraged us to take the excellent free tour.

A beautiful and unusual mosque
As usual, everyone is cordial and the place very clean.
It's also worthwhile to take a 40 minute tour, we were lucky to have Zayed as a guide, that was very informative and pleasant
There is a big free parking lot, the entrance is free as well

This mosque is absolutely stunning and a can't miss if visiting Abu Dhabi. They give a free cultural tour every hours and you should 100% do this short 45 minute tour. The tour takes your into areas you normally cannot visit if just walking around the mosque by yourself.
Our tour guide Shayha was extremely informative and kind in answering all of our questions and taking us behind the rope to some of the cooler vantage points in the mosque.

I have a 3hr 40 min layover at the Abu Dhabi Airport, can I cover Sheikh Zayed Mosque during this time.
Considering the travel time from airport to Mosque is ~20min, I was hoping to check this beautiful location off the list in about 2.5 hours.
My layover is from 11:10 hrs to 14:50 hrs in the first week of Feb.

We probably spent around an hour walking around. Choose your entry slot ( done online prior to arriving) carefully. Expect to queue underground at the visitor entry entrance. You cannot just walk in to the mosque. Have an Uber account so you can get a taxi as soon as you get out to get you back to the airport. ASAP
Hope you manage to visit it. It’s quite beautiful

Is the entrance via the mall only? Also are masks still required at the mosque? Also anyone recommend the best day/time of day to visit in mid Feb (to avoid the rush) Thank you

Yes still via the mall, no need for masks. Don’t think Feb is as busy as Dec but early morning as it opens is always the best for crowds but sunset is best for views.

We are attempting to get the pass ahead on the website. It asks for the emirate for the visitors- we are from the USA and get stuck at that point. How do we answer to get beyond it?
Hola! Voy de paso a la mezquita y llevo equipaje, solo de mano. Sabrán si me dejaran pasar con mochila o hay guarda equipaje? Gracias!

Yes you can deposit your luggage with mosque management, or you can take your hand luggage with your after baggage check in.

Hi! In November 2022, is it necessary to have a negative PCR test to enter? Or is the vaccination vertificate enough?
Dipen Nath🎭
Nainital, India2,248 contributions
Yes you need RT-PCR negative test report with double dose vaccination certificate copy
Good day. I am traveling to the UAE in November 2022. If I am fully vaccinated and boosted with a QR code do I need a PCR Test to enter the mosque?
