Visited on Saturday, the corniche is a nice place for a walk in the evening. At one end there is the Mutrah Fish market. There is the newly opened Mutrah Fort a short walk away. Before that there is the traditional Mutrah Souq. Lot of...More

The proximity of the mountains has lead to the development of Muscat as a long meandering strip at the water’s edge. Built right on the water’s edge, the Mutrah Corniche invites visitors for a stroll around the dhow harbor.

This is good place to find some peace of mind. Though there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Enjoyed the walk around this picturesque area.

Very restful and magnificent promenade, it connects Muttrah with the other old areas of Muscat. Everything sounds perfect, totally looked after and shining. You can visit the traditional Souq arriving till the Sultan's Palace and the fortresses overlooking the whole gulf.

The Corniche is a beautiful marble clad walk way that goes around the coast, past the harbour and extends almost as far as the royal palace. On one side the beautiful coast and the other Mutrah Sus amongst others. A trip to Muscat must include...More

The atmosphere at the Corniche is just incredible - local folks are very friendly and the view during sunset is mesmerizing. The coastal route goes quite a distance from the commercial areas towards a more residential districts - equally charming with different atmosphere. I though...More

The corniche in Matrah is the gateway to the old city and is unmissable if you are in Oman's capital. The doorways are worth stopping to take photographs. They also serve as bookends to the old city proper, with the exit point on the Bustan...More
