We were able to view the exterior of the Royal Palace both from the road, and water. the Palace is very large. I'll post a picture taken from our cruise ship as we were leaving Muscat

It cannot be visited inside, but You can take pictures from the gate. It looks like a little gem in a very large area, where You can also enjoy wonderful and luxuriant gardens. You can continue reaching the sea, nestled in a really nice gulf,...More

This palace is only used for dignitary reception and unofficial visitors are not allowed...you get to walk the grounds outside the gate, take a few pictures and then you are done...

The palace is only used for ceremonial purposes. Couple photos and a little history if you have a guide. The grounds are pretty and well maintained. Like most of Muscat it is very clean.

Wow ...to go inside this palace, unfortunately only Royals and VI P s will enter here as it is only for ceremonies now, however the grounds are very beautiful and everyone stands outside the gates to take the photos.

Located on the coast near the old Muscat, the palaces and forts can’t be visited from inside, you can only walk around but it is still worth the visit, for the great architecture of the buildings and the beautiful landscape. There is a lot of...More

The palace is interesting, but you can only see it from the gates. Before you leave after your photo, do check out the surrounding buildings, some of which have some interesting architecture and are quite grand, especially the ones between the palace and the National...More

If you are in the area the palace is worth stopping by to see as it is a magnificent and beautiful building. However I would not bother if it is not on your route.
