Just opposite to Muhammad Al Amin mosque this square and statutes were a treat to watch. However, like many under developed countries, you will feel a little litter, walk chalking and rough stuff around.

The statue is nice to view and easy accessed, but stands in the middle of a parking lot surrounded by a lot of traffic.

This place takes you back to the Lebanese civil war, it reminds that war does not bring anything other than destruction. The status are very beautiful. One of them is without a hand , very emotional indeed

This is an interesting place to stop by for a few minutes to admire the monument which commemorates those killed under the Ottomans. It's right by the Blue mosque.

Loved the history behind it all. And the structure of it. I donno if those were bullet holes in them or they were made that way. Interesting

The Lebanese civil war and the destruction of all the beautiful old buildings surrounding this main Beirut square made this monument lose part of its historical charm; the only structure that shines in the Martyr square; other than the Martyrs Statue; is the Mohammed El...More

One day this will be a delight to visit. But right now, you'd walk past. Shame really. The mosque is a delight and well worth a pic
