This center is a good place where different traditional handcrafts of Bahrain and mainly the pottery. Here workshops in ship making, pottery and painting are given. Nice place to visit and spend some time for general local knowlege.

Visited the place in April 2017 – lot of handicraft items made of clay includes pots, lamp shades..etc – the potters can be seen in action and the equipment is foot operated – the clay is mould to the shape required and is a definitely a skill with patience and care – on request the potters do allow us to try our hands on the clay – there is also a shop attached which sells the items – It has got a lovely collections of colourful handicraft items. This place is definitely one of Bahrain’s treasured traditions.

Been to this place a few times but sadly it has been neglected. I hope the government pays little more attention to this nice traditional place which displays the old handicrafts of Bahrain.

This pottery handicrafts centre is situated in the village of Al Jasra near the bridge than links Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The centre is interesting but it is a great excuse to visit the Al Jasra house nearby, a very interesting traditional Bahrain house that used to be residency of one of the Kings. Quiet and worth the visit

We considered rating this a poor but then decided average fit better. There is a cashier at the entrance and then a dozen or so shops some with, some without clerks/owners. The crafts are indeed local but honestly, the baskets were pathetic, the chests nice but amateurish, the pottery average at best, not much to recommend the place. There were several food options on the 2nd floor though.
