A nice place to spend a few quiet moments. I was here with a friend during Ramadan. It is one of the best times to visit.

Princess Latifa bint Sultan bin AbdulAziz Mosque is big with facility to pray for ladies too (entry from north side). Male entry is from 3 sides (east, north, south), has plenty of parking space. Established in year 1434H (corr to 2013G). Feel real good while sitting inside.
Located in Rahmania dist of Riyadh north-west part on Takhassusi rd (as if going from south-to-north just 100m before hitting King Abdullah rd).

This is very well run and organised mosque, very clean and just beautiful to visit. There is restricted access for children and during Taraweeh prayers there is an area dedicated for women and children - its outside but there is air conditioning and water sprays and free bottled water is provided. The inside area for women is not overly large so if you want to pray inside get there early. One of my favorite mosques in Riyadh after Masjid Malik Khalid.

In 1991 I worked for a famous photographer in Los Angeles, California. Princess Latifa came in for a photoshoot. We contracted a woman to do her hair and make-up and the Princess liked her so much, she took her traveling for several weeks around the United States. While having her hair and makeup attended to, one of the Princess' security men came into my office and asked if he could have a glass of water. I pointed to where the water dispenser was located, "just on the other side of that door"... and then he said, "I'm sorry, but you don't understand. I'm not allowed in the same room with the Princess." I didn't know that. So, I went in and got him a big glass of water and told him that if there was anything he needed at all, to please let me know. The Princess was very quiet, not speaking very much. But she would watch me through the mirror whenever I came in the room and she would smile warmly. The photo session was running long and I can't remember, but I had to leave. So, I went back into the studio from my office to say goodbye to the photographer (my boss) and the Hair/makeup woman-- and again, the Princess was looking at me through her hand-held mirror, and her beautiful eyes lit up and she waved goodbye to me so sweetly I will never forget it. She seemed so shy, but she was a Princess with no reason to be shy. But I liked her very much and I helped my boss over the next couple of days to get the photographs she selected as prints assembled for her. And, then a few months later she was back again. This time she had, I believe it was two (2)- her two little boys with her. They were so cute. They had little toy horses pulling a covered wagon and they were rolling it all over the floor on one end of the studio. They never interrupted and they never got in the way of anyone's work but they were a handful. They were actually very well behaved, and they were very little at the time, but at some point they got into these very large rolls of heavy, colored paper used for backdrops and they tore up a few roles, but nothing serious. They were so cute they made me smile in amazement at them. And, again, at the end of the day's work, the Princess once again smiled and waved goodbye to me through her mirror.
She was a real princess, all the way from Arabia! And I wondered how did it come to be that I would be in the same room with a Princess from Saudi Arabia, working? So, I was very saddened to hear of her passing. I thought of her many times over the years, and her two sons. She wasn't much older than I was, so she passed very young. I am happy there is a Mosque in her memory, and it is lovely. I especially like that it has 2 towers. But I wonder if someone would be so kind to tell me how she passed, and if her boys grew up to be good men?
