It is 21 JD per person to do Siq Trial, guide is extra cost, you won't get lost, there is only one way in and same way out, about 2.5 hours both ways. It can be hard when the water level is high, and if...More
The Mujib Nature Reserve gives people the opportunity to hike three (I think) different paths in varying intensity. It is directly off the road, easy to find and parking is plentiful.
After some research done beforehand, we decided we only wanted to take the short...More
The wet hiking was by all means WOW! I’ve never experienced anything similar before - walking through the streaming water between the rock walls!
It was indeed wet (maybe depending on the season the water may be lower, but we were all the time walking-swimming...More

Do this before it's banned! Honestly, there's not a chance the Siq trail would be allowed in Europe. But it's so much fun. You don't need a guide, but you need to be reasonably fit. I was surprised that while they gave you a life-jacket...More

Sorry for very late replay. It is possible to make it without swimming. The depth of the water varies, but in deeper places there are installations which you grab (even if you know swimming the flow is too strong to swim) and move forward keeping them in hands. So the only inconvenience is that jumping down to the water, which is optional, would not be recommended and it would be better to use the ladder/stairs available at such places.
