The Amman Citadel is a set of cool old Roman ruins on the top of the hill in Amman. We decided to walk here from our accommodation. The walk was ok for us but could be challenging for people who are out-of-shape or have mobility...More

Amazing View! it is how I will describe the place. You can see the old Amman city and the Roman amphitheater from this location. The place is full of cultural and historical information. A must to visit. The entrance fee is very minimal compare to...More

The site is very interesting. One gets to review their history lessons. Additionally, one is rewarded with several great vistas.

A must when visiting Amman. Views are amazing, never mind the culture and history. You don’t need a tour guide, but it’s always good to hear all of the history of the city’s central point when visiting. Definitely should be visited when in Amman.

The Citidal is extremely interesting and well worth seeing. Although warning: forget using a guide. They overcharge 30 JD for an inferior 45 minute lecture. That is more money per hour than most people make in the USA. I feel they rip off the tourists....More

It is In The middle of town so worth investing up to an hour if you combine it with a stroll round the old town

Situated at the top of downtown Amman, the Citadel is the perfect spot to kick off your tour of the city. A bit of a climb from the Roman theatre, but you can take a taxi up for only 1-2 JOD if you prefer. At...More

Spent about an hour wondering around this famous landmark site in Amman, lots of old roman ruins which unlike most places you go to, you can actually go up and climb on and get some pictures with. Probably not good for the preservation of it...More

As there is not a lot of sightseeing in Amman the Citadel except some ancient columns and a badly tendered archeological museum offers a panoramic view of Amman
