After visiting the Roman Theater, it is well worth climbing the stairs and hill to visit the Citadel. There are great views of the old city from there and there is a museum with several artefacts several centuries old.

We went here in the early morning so to not suffer a lot the hot. The site is quite big and for a good visit 2-3 hours are necessary.

I suggest you schedule a visit late afternoon so you can get the chance to see the sunset over there! It would be different in that time of the day- trust me!

Located at the top of a mountain/ hill with a good view over a part of Amman and the Roman Theater. The Temple of Hercules is a nice location for a photo.
