The Roman Theatre is an amazing spectacle in Amman. It’s very well preserved even though visitors are allowed to climb up into the seats of the amphitheatre, which is awesome! When you sit up there, you can imagine all of the amazing performances and public...More

The amphitheater is huge and beautiful. And it is still functioning, the last time we visited it a concert is being prepared. The most fascinating is the museum besides it as it shows the traditional dresses of different Arabian group in different time. It is...More

Right in the old town-great location to really see the history. Well preserved and easy to see. Takes about 1/2 hour

The open air theater was most impressive. We were there when a group of young travelers were performing for their Facebook post. The acoustics were amazing. I would definitely attend an event here if one were scheduled during my stay in Amman.

The Colosium is well worth seeing. 2 JD to enter. No guide needed. Well maintained. Fun to walk around and imagine the history that took place here.

One of the top things to visit in Amman. Total lack of information on site (as with most touristic venues in Jordan...) so make sure you have your travel guide with you to learn more about the Roman theatre. The climb to the top is...More

The theater is a must see while in Ammen, Jordan. This ancient Roman ruin is historical in nature and some beautiful pictures to add to your travel experience. The guided tour (a side cost for us during our free time) was worth the expense. Just...More

Visited it on a Friday evening! It is a very interesting place to visit while walking around Downtown. The place is not well maintained. The place is crowded with locals having shisha, eating and drinking tea with the whole family !

We had a rental car when we visited. The entrance to the site is close to a major intersection and there is a bazaar at the entrance. I think you should have no problem finding a taxi.
