It is a nice interesting place to visit if you stay at city center. A lot of people come here for a walk at night.

You can't go to Amman and not see this. Best to take a taxi to the top and walk down, or walk all the way up. Bonus points for timing it so that you catch the sunset. That's something to see.

Very nice place. It´s free when you have the Jordan Pass. The museums there are very interesting, you can see things like traditional clothing.

This was an impressive amphitheater and in good condition but it lacked signage. It would have been nice if there were signs explaining when it was built.

Similar to and less-well-kept versus other similar structures (e.g., amphitheater in Lyon). Worth a stop, but quick place to visit.

Yes! There is an actual path down there. It's a LOT of stairs but easier than navigating the crazy streets. If you go to Open Street Maps and zoom in on the Citadel, just past the parking, you'll see a dotted red line... More
