- JOHN BLafayette, California47 contributionsGreat museum for automobile enthusiastsWe had a free day in Amman so went to the museum. We love old cars and motorcycles so this was pretty cool to see the well maintained collection of vehicles here. Worth a trip if you like cars and motorcycles.Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 8, 2023
- Amy R18 contributionsStill love this placeAlways enjoy this out of the way treasure…it is classy and full of beautiful cars used by Hashemite Royalty. Staff, those greeting those at the entrance, should understand that they are the “first face” of this special attraction. Upon entering, I was told “Go and don’t touch anything.” Staff at the desk were equally unfriendly,Visited February 2024Traveled soloWritten February 1, 2024
- Mahmoud BarghouthiAmman, Jordan39 contributionsRoyal Automobile MuseumSo, I swung by the Royal Automobile Museum in Amman, Jordan, and let me tell you, it was pretty awesome. the classic cars are AMAZING. You're surrounded by these super-cool vintage cars and motorcycles. It's like being transported back in time, but with way better music. What really blew my mind were the cars once owned by the royal family. Like, imagine cruising around in those babies. It's like living out your own royal fantasy, even if it's just for a moment.Visited May 2024Traveled with friendsWritten May 29, 2024
- Haytham Abu FirasQatar20,603 contributionsInterestingWe visited Royal Automobile Museum which is not far from King Hussein Park. Entry for adults is JD 1, and half for the children above 5, while it’s JD 5 for tourists. Well, a beautiful collection of vehicles, cars and motorbikes from present to old one, used by the Royal family members. A description about every vehicle is displayed plus a video to watch. A small tent to sit and act like Bedouin. Jordanian currency, old kiosks, wonderful arrangement and aircraft near the entrance.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 16, 2024

What a fantastic museum with an incredible collection of cars and motorbikes. All in pristine condition!
Each vehicle has a story to tell with associated information, photographs and in the majority of instances video footage of when and where the vehicles were used.
I’m not normally a lover of this but this museum was well worth the visit.
Give yourself at least an hour.

This Museum has an extensive collection of classic automobiles. Any car enthusiast can spend hours inspecting these automobiles, which range from Cadillacs to Rolls Royces. Some, while not necessarily expensive, but are notable for their historical value. The Mercede Benzes are truly in the classic domain. The Royal Automobile Museum contains one of the world's great collections of classic motor vehicles. The Museum is easy to get by car.

This museums contains a beautiful collection of cars, motorcycles and even movie memorabilia (Martian mars rover, Star Wars flyer, Tron cycle, etc...). We were very impressed and walked away impressed with the riches of this country. Sadly, we realized after the fact how these riches come at the expense of the struggling Jordanian public. Still a very nice museum.

The Jordanian Royal Family has brought together this marvelous collection of classic cars. The prestige cars range from Cadillacs to Rolls Royces. The Museum holds over 100 cars and motorcycles. It is a museum made in heaven for any automobile enthusiast. The value of this fine collection is incalculable. By the way, don't go on Tuesday., the Museum is closed.

An absolute must for fans of historic vehicles. Great presentation of the vehicles. Everything is lovingly set up with films and photos of the vehicles in use. I have never been to such a beautiful car museum and can only recommend that everyone visit this museum. Entry is included with the Jordan Pass.

The Royal Motor Museum is located on the heights of the city, outside, near the mosque of King Hussein.
Admission costs 5 JD for foreign tourists. There is free parking on site. The car collection is very well highlighted in very careful stagings. We can see many cars donated directly by the royal family. Among others, you can admire one of the Rising Star Wars IX vehicles or one of the prototypes of the motorcycle used in Tron Legacy.
The staff is welcoming and friendly, smiling. Learn more about vehicles, their origins and donors through English-language explanatory panels. Many pictures of the royal family are visible along the way in which the king can be seen driving some of the vehicles. The majority of vehicles belong to the Jordanian royal family.
Count 1h30 to go around.

This is a must visit museum whether you are anlocal or visitor to Jordan as it has many legendary classic cars. More than 70 classic cars and motorbikes from the personal collection of King Hussein are displayed in it. It's something of a gem, and a great way to recount the story of modern Jordan.

how do I get there using public transportation
Written January 28, 2015
Hello. Thanks for your interest in the RAM. Public transport is a bit weak in Amman, but we suggest you take any bus to King Abdullah II road towards City Mall and the Military Hospital. We are situated at the King Hussein Park. Any taxi can take you there as well. Looking forward to seeing you. The Management.
