See one of Herod to Great's many palaces. The excavations are well done preserving many of the interesting features. This is a worthwhile site for anyone with an interest in archaeology.

Worth your time to see what King Herod built for himself as a palace and then as a final resting place. To imagine how this was constructed is amazing. Be prepared to walk a great deal to see all.

We enjoyed our trip here today. A short film with the entry price sets the historical scene for the building of Herodion/Herodyon/Herodium. The site is well preserved and the tunnels and views are awesome. Take the children but watch them in the tunnels.
