I didn't know there was a tunnel that went the entire length Western Wall of the Old Jerusalem. The Holy Land has to be an archeologist dream, they still keep finding things even in the Old City. This apparently was discovered during laying down of water pipes in 1967. Some if it are parts of the roads that in Jesus's day would have walked. Within the tunnels I saw a place for synagogal worship and there is even a sections for men and women to pray at the Western Wall underground. Who knew? The first part of the tour had visuals to help us see what the temple mount looked like at various periods in time and a visual of where we were under the tunnel compared to topside. We saw stones that had King Herrod's mark, which helped them determine the age. (Large stones) Smaller stone structures indicated a later time period. There was also a small section of some marble left by workers who "when on break" but never came back to continue working. The archeologist left it as is. It was a fascinating tour.…

you will feel like inside the bible, its such an intersting and amazing place, there are not a lot like this in the whole world. it is a must if visiting jerusalem.
