Yad Vashem is a memorial to the Holocaust that claimed the lives of six million European Jews. Yas Vashem is a graphic series of displays which bring the attention of visitors back to history, which can never be forgotten. Inspecting Yad Vashem takes several hours, it's a return to Hitler's Germany.

Required visit for anyone interested in learning about the Jewish People or specifically the Holocaust.
Even if you visited years ago, the newer curated exhibits are much more accessible than the old museum.

Definitely you have to visit once Yad Vashem to understand the horror of WW2. It makes you deeply sad and highly angry about the ignorance of some people. Specially for some German Idiots it should be mandatory (I myself am German).

Yad Vashem is a memorial to those Jews who perished in the Holocaust and those who resisted the Nazi regime. It also commemorates the Righteous Among the Gentiles, those non-Jews who risked their lives to save their neighbors. Yad Vashem is a humbling experience. Only the Western Wall has more visitors. Yad Vashem should not be missed. Entry is free.

Free tickets to enter but you have to book in advance (the night before was fine). You pay for car parking. Excellent exhibition, in chronological order, especially the videos of holocaust survivors talking about their experiences. So much to read you could spend all day here but we spent 2 hours. Our teenagers also found it interesting and it’s so important for everyone to understand what happened as it helps you understand the whole background to the current nation of Israel. Nice museum shop and amazingly landscaped gardens, sculptures and architecture.

This is a superb museum of Holocaust material and exhibitions. My wife and I spent 6 hours reading and viewing the material. We could have stayed for 2 full days.
The video presentations were excellent.
We also viewed the art museum but did not have enough time to complete it.
We will definitely return.

This museum was incredibly packed while I visited and there was so much to take in. Every exhibit is so thoughtfully presented. The children's memorial is especially overwhelming and emotionally triggering. I would recommend this museum to anyone.

The Holocaust (1933–1945) was the systematic, state-sponsored persecution and murder of six million European Jews by the Nazi German regime and its allies. This museum manages to make clear and precise what anti-Semitic hatred was.

Not a place that you can rate but such a phenomenally and thoughtfully set out historical documentation of a time that is so hard to imagine….yet this museum does its best to inform, preserve and respect. You leave with a greater understanding, visually, auditory and emotionally of a variety of experiences of many different people of all faiths, sexual preferences, countries, social classes, ages etc.The curators have not changed history or been biased, but preserved and presented it in a thought provoking and moving way with transcripts, videos, belongings, diaries, films, books, quotes. Be prepared to be moved, take a hanky.
