This was a remarkable tour, fusing food, culture and people of the Wadi Nisnas neighborhood. Rani has extraordinary relationships and his enthusiasm for the specialty dishes was infectious! We enjoyed meeting the many warm, friendly cooks/bakers who have been preparing knafeh, kubbe, manakish for years! And... did we mention, all vegan too!! We enjoyed Rani's inaugural vegan tour. Outstanding food and experience!

Chef Rani (Ba La Shuk) is a food connoisseur, a cultural ambassador, and could be elected town Mayor if he wanted. He knows everybody in the neighborhood, and everyone loves Rani. His tour lasted three hours, we visited all the food “ institutions” in the area, with most places founded 20 to 50 years ago.
The bakeries were my favorite, sampling the most delicious sweets, but the coffee shops, the spice stores, the various restaurants we visited( many run by the second or third generation), the butchers, the fabulous different falafel and shawarma places, etc, were all fabulous. Chef Rani runs a fantastic food tour of Haifa, and if you’ve already toured the Baha’i temple, and are looking for a different, but wonderful type of tour, where you actually meet and interact with wonderful local people, as they show off their specialties. Call Chef Rani immediately.

We celebrated my husband’s aunt 70 birthday in a special way by having a big family tour in Wadi Nisnas in Haifa with ChefBaLaShuk. He did it in a funny way, not boring that even young children could understand, told us interesting stories about the shops around and looks like he is very familiar and well known there.During the tour we ate small appetizers in the shops and it was a pleasant experience.

A few of us were in Haifa on biz and joined Rani for an enjoyable tour of the city. He is a warm, and friendly host, motivated by his desire to show how diverse people and cultures can come together and share their love of life. The food at the many stops along the tour is all good and you get a great sampling of what is good in Haifa. Thanks, to Rani and all of the wonderful biz owners/families we met. I can't wait to go back in the future with my wife! I recommend the experience!👍

When you plan a trip to Israel, including this experience will be a huge highlight!! We did the tour to the Wadi Nisnas in Haifa with ChefBalaShuck - (aka) Rani, a very special person with a beautiful heart!! He introduced us to so many amazing people (& they all love him!!) who live & laugh across the divides that often keep diverse cultures apart!
In this part of the world there is ‘love your neighbour’ in action daily... We saw and experienced a fresh hope for humankind today... and all the food tasting was INCREDIBLE!! A truly WOW DAY!! We are so very grateful that we met this amazing man and all his delightful friends in the Wadi Nisnas💗
Thank you Rani - ChefBalashuk and many blessings till we meet again!💗

Estimado Amigo
El tour vale la pena, es en Hebreo y no lleva incluida una clase de cocina. Viene a ser una paseo a pie con pruebas de diferentes comidas de la zona. Que tenga un feliz viaje Julio es un mes caluroso
