Fantastic diving centre. Expert guides and instructors. Great diving just beside the centre. Dived a wreck and second dive with lots of shoals of fish and corals. Good equipment and reasonable prices.

We came here on seeing reviews from internet. A small rocky area can hold parking for 7-8 cars. Entry either through a bridge or nearby rocky beach. Easily access to good number of corals with many fishes around.

This place has deteriorated badly in the past few years. It used to be a nice place to mooch but now it’s dirty with unsavoury characters.

If like me you enjoy (or maybe need) walking after a good dinner, then no doubt you'll walk there.
Most of the 5 star Hotels are there, and many other 4 star.
The eastern side is quiet but the western side is full of life with the shops of the promenade.
There are also some music players there making it more enjoyable.
Bottom line, a relaxing place to spend some time and stroll along.

On our recent cruise through to Dubai we stopped for a day in Eilat. Very impressed with the Marina - nice sandy beaches / plenty of little cafe's / good array of shops.

It would be odd to visit Eilat without stroking around the pleasant marina area with its boardwalk, bridges and boats

I was very satisfied with this visit. I highly recommend. Unique from other aquariums and similar places I've seen.

The place is cleaner and quieter after August and September, all the noise and the mess already passed, the beach Boardwalk is fun for walking with the family. You can shop in stores without any pressure and load of other buyers. And the water is cool and warm during the hot afternoon.

I heard good things about the marina so it was my first stop when I arrived, but it was Friday afternoon and a ghost town. Everything was closing up, most shops already closed and not a single sole around! I asked my hotel if Eilat closes up for the sabbath, as does other parts of Israel, but they told me everything is open as normal. It isn't.

It was pretty to walk around (see pics), some boats, some lovely buildings, lots of fancy hotels but that's really it. Maybe different on a weekday but I thought it was a waste of time, even if the shops were open there isn't really anything to do here.

The Marina is situated along the 5 star Hotels on the Beach: the Herod's, Dan, Royal Beach and Hilton and till the Mall and the City Center.

It has of course a long line of stores of all kind on one side with the Marina on the other one: since Eilat is a tax free area, meaning no VAT, shopping there might be attractive, especially with electronics, photography equipment, computers and even sportswear.

Walking there by day is too hot, especially on summer day since the temperature is most of the time over 40C (104F), so the best is to wait for dusk or after dinner at your Hotel.

There are of course many pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, gelateria and bars of diverse kinds if you prefer to have dinner out of your Hotel.

The pictures there are often very nice so make sure to take your camera with you not to miss them.

Bottom line, a nice place for a family stroll
