About
Christmas House is owned and operated by the Giacaman family ( Issa Giacaman), a Christian family living in the Holy Land since 1,600 AC. The Christmas House was established in May 2010, carrying a family heritage since 1917, and it operates two souvenir stores and one olive wood factory. If you are in the Holy Land, planning to visit Bethlehem, and wish to visit our Olive Wood Factory and our humble souvenir store, please get in touch with us. We offer FREE pick up and drop off from Bethlehem Main Check Point to the Manager Square. Please note that our Olive Factory is located less than 5 minutes from the church of the Nativity and is very close to the Milk Grotto Church. I stumbled upon this shop on a recent trip to Israel and loved the quality of the olive wood carvings and the family that runs it. I’d highly recommend this shop for fair prices, quality service and a great selection of olive wood carvings. I hope to see them again soon!

The worst company I have ever dealt with. Their not honest and horrible customer service. I will never recommend them to my worst enemy. I ordered some pieces from them and Nabil kept promising me that they will be ready on time and not only they were late but my order was wrong. No chance of dealing with them again.

We are so sorry that you feel that way; we have tried to solve this problem by it did not work. Please note that we do not tolerate our hard-working handmade designs being passed to other factories to be copied. In addition, you are competing with our business. I am so sorry, but we were forced to decline your business.
We have been in this business since 1917 and sincerely care about our customers.

Jack Giacaman's family always provide great service, great craftsmanship and excellent choice for souvenirs when I visit Bethlehem. They don't pay commission to coach drivers/tour guides so don't have to artificially inflate their prices. Jack speaks several languages and is always welcoming. I really recommend a visit to the shop.

With a workshop attached, the Christmas House is a delightful and interesting place to stop, chat and shop. We had seven teenagers with us, and we still stayed for over an hour, chatting with Jack the owner, petting the little lovely doggie, and buying handmade gifts at extremely reasonable prices.
Whether you like simple or ornate - the Christmas Store offers it. Their on site carpenters will explain how the design was created and any symbolism that might not be immediately obvious.
Jack and his family really blessed us with their kindness and interest in our lives. Visiting their store was like making new friends. The items we bought will not only always remind us of an incredibly special trip, but the amazing people at Christmas House.

Every time we have visited Bethlehem we have made sure to stop at the Christmas House. We have now purchased 4 different Nativity Sets as they make amazing Christmas gifts. The woodwork is extraordinary and they go above and beyond in customer service. We received a tour of the shop, met some of the workers, and watched a carving demonstration. I appreciate that they are patient when helping us pick out just the right set, and I never felt pressured to buy. There are two shops, one in the Manger Square and one next to the Milk Grotto. If you want great gifts of Olive Wood from the Holy Land, be sure to stop here!

This is the second branch of Christmas House, the main store is located on Manger Square. The olive wood nativity sets are beautifully carved and you can even purchase a set that includes a separation wall. I was looking for silver crosses and Jack was very kind and helpful. This is a great store for souvenirs and gifts, and they will ship worldwide.

Let's face it, you can get olive wood figures many places in the Holy Land. But the Christmas House has high-quality olive wood figures that your friends and family will love! Purchased a Nativity Set and couldn't be happier.
Here's our story: on Sabbatical I went to Bethlehem in hopes of finding a Nativity Set for my parents. Two Christmases ago my dad accidentally broke a ceramic set that our Great Uncle Paul painted. It was a family heirloom that was actually intended for me one day. To mend the wound, I needed to find something special and discovered a beautiful little shop in Bethlehem near the Church of the Nativity. Hand carved olive wood figures set in a gorgeous olive wood creche. And though it was a little pricey, I got the set I knew was meant for my family and asked Jack, the shopkeeper, to ship it to my parents in America, please. The box arrived from Bethlehem in perfect shape. Through tears and relief my parents told me it has given them peace. Apparently they want to keep it out year round and have already begun to show it proudly to anyone who comes to the house. Sometimes it's the little things that can bring great joy!

This place sells quality Christmas ornaments that are very distinguished to what you find in your typical Christmas store. The have Jewelry, beautiful rosaries, silver and pottery. Amongst the neighbouring stores head straight to Christmas house and don't forget to bargain!

I went there with couple of my friends and the service was so amazing. We did visit the olive wood factory at the Milk Grotto Church and Jack was so amazing and later we visited the main shop in the manger square and Nabil was such a character....Highly recommend.
