For a few dollars you can get some relief from the sun and get a better understanding of day to day life in Ephesus. Great exhibition, brought back to life with no fluff.

I find it remarkable to see the hordes of tourists in Ephesus, yet find yourself alone visiting these magnificent Terrace Houses. Is it that the tour guides don't bother or are people reluctant to pay the extra couple of lira ? Whatever it is, they...More

On tour to Ephesus for the third time and was delighted to see this newer excavation. You view the area under a roof that protects the site. There are a lot of stairs as you climb up the side of the hill, getting better views...More

This was our second last stop while visiting the Ephesus ruins. It was astoundingly impressive and mind boggling the fact that archaeologists are trying to put back the pieces of this ancient residential development. You have to pay an extra of 10 TL to enter,...More

Too many visitors to Ephesus skip seeing the terraced houses - maybe it's because their guide is rushing them around or maybe it's because they resent having to pay the extra charge for this very special experience. The Terraced Houses give you a really good...More
