great way to see the spread of Istanbul on a sunny day. Can get a bit windy so wrap up warm. The biggest disappointment was the overcharging at the cafe. We tried to warm up with hot drinks and were charged twice the price listed. When we questioned this, the server shrugged and said this was Turkey, the extra charge was a tip for himself and we were tourists so could afford it!! When we said we weren't happy, he offered us 'free' tea to make up for it rather than give us our money back. It was bizarre and spoiled the experience for us

BEWARE THE CANTEEN SCAM. An elderly man carrying a tray of drinks approached us and we ordered 2 coffees. I then went to the counter to purchase a bag of chips and biscuits. When I tried to pay for everything, he shooed me off. Later he brought the snacks, coffee along with additional snacks I did not want and in broken English said I should pay later. Something was not right. Finishing my coffee, I decided to approach the counter to pay and return the additional snacks I did not order, as I did not want an argument at the port when I would need to alight in a hurry. I'm so glad I listened to my gut because it was at this point they offered me the card terminal to tap, without of course divulging the bill. When I refused and asked to look at the amount they had charged me, things got heated. They had charged me an extortionate amount. I refused to pay, they then adjusted the bill, which was still higher than the prices detailed on the board on the wall. But, they wore me down so I paid just to get out of there. This was 3 men, against a female. I think they do choose women to prey on. Please be aware of this scam and just bring your own snacks on board. The check in experience was also not great with an incredibly brusque and unfriendly woman at the counter at the Kabatos port who just barked at us. Just do yourself a favour and avoid this company.

If you come to Istanbul, it's a MUST to take a boat tour! the staff is really nice and kind, you have information about places you see whilst visiting in Turkish and English, so that guests can understand what they are seeing. the Bosphorus itself is magical and for one and half hour you can feel the Turkish vibes, all along with with the seagulls (they are nice too).
Many thanks to the extremely amazing guide, who also saved me at the Istanbul airport when I arrived and helped me with the indications.
I definitely recommend Dentur Avrasya! that's where I'll go first when I'll come back to the wonderful Istanbul.

A lovely trip spoilt by the staff trying to scam us.

When we were on the boat, a member of staff was going round with a tray of food and drinks. He approached my wife several times, and each time she declined the pot of fruit he was offering.

Eventually he just gave her the pot and walked off without saying anything. My wife assumed it was complimentary and threw the old looking fruit in the bin.

A short while later, and for the rest of the trip, the man (and his colleague) kept trying to get us to pay for the fruit. We refused many times and explained why, but they just kept pressuring us. We didn’t pay.

We’ve seen this scam many times, and I note that it’s also mentioned in a previous review on Trip Adviser. It’s dishonest, unnecessary and spoilt what might otherwise have been a nice trip.

The company’s response to the previous review about the scam was that they would put more posters up saying the food and drink is not complimentary. We didn’t see any posters.

This appears to be a well practiced scam that at least 2 members of staff are taking part in.

Avoid this operator and give your money to honest people who deserve it.

We enjoyed our 1.5 hour boat ride up and down the Bosphorus as there is so much to see on both shores and lots of other boats to stare at. The guys on board really try their best to make you buy snacks and drinks - despite saying no four times to a tea and a coffee we were given them anyway and it’s only when I pushed them away to the edge of the table did the guy take them away.

We had a great time on the boat tour ride around Bosphorus. We arrived early in the morning. The first trip starts at 10.30am. You can buy the tickets online or at the counter on the day. Weather was good. The ride took an hour and a half.

This audio guide river tour is priced quite competitively. However you should be aware of it. This whole experience was a scam. They sell you your ticket and let you board the boat. They also have you scan the QR code for the audio guide for the tour. Once I was on the boat I tried to get the audio guide to work but I needed a code. I got off the boat to ask for the code and was told the audio guide was an additional charge. About the same as my original ticket. I told her this was a scam and there is no sign that says there is an additional charge. She told me she took the sign down because exchange rates had changed. I didn’t buy the audio guide because I refused to pay more. There was no audio on the boat so I’m not sure how they claim it’s a tour without anyone speaking. Take caution with this company it is intentionally misleading you.

Very good experience for the whole day. Quite cheap, especially if you buy it on the spot. Recommend

Very bad welcoming. The employee at the gate is very rude impolite, she does not say hello back to you, barely looking at us and awful behaviour as she considered my wife and I as idiots. She is very impolite.
No indications to know where we have to take the boat, no one is helping you.
Very bad experience we should have take another company.

Dentures Avrasya operate a ferry service from Bodrum to Kos. It departs from Bodrum Castle Ferry Port at 9.15 and takes 45 mins. Return from Kos was at 4.30 Turkish time. Euro20 day return ticket. Ferry was on time both ways. Staff were very polite. As it is a fairly new service the boat is in excellent condition. Downstairs is enclosed and has large windows, air-condoning and a cafe service. Seats are very comfortable, have plenty of leg room and a drop down table. Upstairs is open and has comfortable plastic seating. The toilets were very clean. There is a room for storing luggage and bikes etc. Because it is a passenger only ferry (no cars), there was no horrible smell of fuel like to get on the other ferry services. We were a group of 7 friends and all of us highly recommend this ferry service.
