A unique sight outside with six minarets, and one of the most beautiful mosques in the world in the inside… an architectural masterpiece from one of the students of Mimar Sinan, the eminent ottoman architect, which is one of the rare islamic places visited and admired by a pope. Although it was under construction at the time of my last visit, it didn't really bother the experience.…

Amazing architecture, it wasn't too busy when we visited, we took lots of pictures and had a great time walking around, we sat for a couple of hours outside having snacks and doing some people watching, it was very relaxing

We had a lovely visit, and experienced amazing hospitality from the volunteers at the Suleymaniye Cultural Center (who greeted us at the Mosque when it was briefly closed for prayers). We highly recommend their free presentation about the mosque and Islam at the nearby cultrual center, which inluded a very nice tea and time spent discussing Turkish life. There is also a great view of the mosque from the cultural center.…
