This is one of the few places in Tashkent which is a must visit. It's picturesque and part of the Hazrat Imam complex. It's not a functioning Madrassa and has quaint shops inside. Plan to spend an hour in this complex

This is a must visit in Tashkent. Beautiful and nicely decorated. You also learn about what a Madrassah is about.

First mosque and madrassah we visited in uzbekistan; the madrassah was full of woodworkers, embroidery, pianters and lacquer workers. The Koran was not possible to visit at a weekend when we visited but the tiles on the buildings and domes were lovely.

Nothing arresting about this place, but its a colorful monument. There are a number of shops selling various things inside. Worth checking out. 15 minutes is all you need. Watch out it can get very hot.

The entire complex is a thing of beauty. The buildings are ornately decorated with blue tile mosaics, the blue domes of the mosques and madrassa are amazing. The grounds are perfectly designed and manicured. We spent a bit of time touring the shops at the...More

Set in a park like complex which also has an ancient tomb and the madrassa, this provides a calm and quiet area for reflection. Incredible architecture. I bought a small wooden dish intricately carved and painted, just beautiful. The grass is so green and sky...More
