Colombo Fort is the main railways station located at the heart of the city. Visited here to catch a train to Unawatuna. Staff were helpful. We reached early morning. The waiting room was ok.

hey, you have to book/reserve in advance (weeks) to get the first class tickets ensured. otherwise i‘d not recommend to use train with your family. its to crowdy and overloaded in the other classes.
