I went here a couple times to try my hand at skiing. Nice place to do that and they also have a very fun sledding slope. They have a restaurant as well and there is a shuttle that will bring you here from the Shangri La Mall area.

The venue is a short drive from Ulaanbaatar center. It has good quality ski's & board for rent, as well as warm clothes. The slopes are limited. A beginners, and intermediate and an advanced. All man made snow. All relatively flat. Bumps, hills, ramps are all man made. So good to get some skiing in, not somewhere to spend more than a day if you are a skier. There is a warm facility building with food & drinks, plus toboggan rides for a bit of fun.

A fantastic place to spend a day during the cold winter season in Mongolia. Learn snowboarding, skiing without breaking the bank. Recommended to try at least once!

Great golf course. Great English golf pro. Great burger meal aftereards.
We have visited several times and enjoy this place every time. I recommend booking golf pro Kevin a week or two ahead. I have only visited durring summer but they have ski lifts for winter time also. A jacuzzi in the basement.

We go here a couple times in winter for something to do. It only has 3 short slopes. If you're a beginner, this is a good place for you to build your skills. If you're a good, experienced skier, you'll likely get bored after an hour or so. Still, there's not much to do in UB in winter, and the clean air at Sky Resort is a welcome change from UB's winter smog. There's also a sledding area that kids enjoy. There's a decent cafeteria inside. The prices are cheap and include equipment, even clothes if you don't have the right winter clothes. You can rent ski's or snowboards for 1/2 or full day.

On the outskirts of Ulaanbaatar and therefore very convenient this resort features three runs, which in Europe would be classified as one green, and two blue. When I went my God it was so cold, but the ski or board hire is cheap, the technicians helpful and around the corner from the main building, there is a stylish restaurant and bar, which pushes this review up to the 4. The main building has a basic standard cafe with fast food and a bar which is quite cozy. It is worth going for the novelty and to people watch - Mongolians show their fearless side and seem to turn up with no experience and head up the slopes to have a crack at skiing.

Just 20 minute bus (purple bus) or taxi ride. 1 black run (maybe grey) and a few intermediate runs + a beginner area. Approx. US$20 for ski and lift hire, so a good price for a quick bit of ski or board action.

Definitely a fun time, check it out to get out of the city but don't expect much in terms of quality turns. Its a tinny mountain with man made snow, very gradual runs and no terrain park. That being said, prices are very reasonable and you can rent everything you need, including cloths on site. The biggest draw back is that its still close enough to the city to be covered in Ulannbaatar's oppressive smog. Dealing with the cold is part of life in the Mongolian winter but the health concerns of breathing the air there all day are very real - extra consideration should be given for children and others with respiratory sensitivities.

For any biathleats out there due have a range but the snow coverage is questionable

For an action-packed day or weekend out of the choking smog of Ulaanbaatar, the Sky Resort is just the ticket. You can rent everything you need for a vigorous day on the slopes. Sky Resort has everything to please skiers regardless of skill levels. There is instruction there should you need it, and even a mild sledding slope for the faint of heat.
After braving the cold and wind, you can seek refuge inside and warm up on a large pot of mutton blubber soup, or just a cup of coffee. Whatever your wintry desires they will be satisfy at the Sky Resort.

There are only 6 tracks. Anyway, I'm not calling the tracks a thing. But there are people who work like ambulances. He claimed that I went down the road I didn't take and treated me very badly. I could not find such behavior appropriate for a single ski resort in Mongolia.
