I was in Baku in 2015, Trip Advisor doesn't allow reviewers to back track, but this little bit of city is worth seeing, so I am breaking some rules. I had no problem with language and pretty much wandered here and there, buying bits and pieces for my ferry crossing. There isn't much to do while waiting for the ferry... More

Loved old city. We took a walking tour around old city (mandatory when applying for evisa) and had a good time soaking in all the information. The city has maiden tower, palace of the sirvanshahs, caravanserais and lots of quaint restaurants where you can have local Azerbaijani food. Loved the quaint bylanes and cobbled streets. A walk around the old... More

If you ever in baku you must visit the old city, we really enjoyed shopping for suvaniers and taking pictures of the old buildings and small streets. We even stopped for a little snack in one of the old restaurant's and it was worth it.

The Old city is a great place to wander around. There are plenty of local shops selling handicraft so it is a pleasure for the eyes. be ready to be pestered by local sellers

It's nice to explore how the old Baku's people lived. The old city will give you a flavor of how the life used to be in old Baku. Nice cafe and good souvenir shops, but over priced, so you make sure you are good in bargaining. If you have a 2 hours free time, then worth a visit, but do... More

The old town of Baku is a must see once in Baku. It is full of atmosphere and filled with nice little restaurants, cafes and shops. As everything is close by it is ideal to have a nice walk through the old town. Parking is available here but I would not recommend to take a car here. Many historical sights... More
