Located on top of the Cascade complex, it's kind of monument you'll find pretty much everywhere around eastern Europe. What makes it different is spectacular view from the platform, and it's quite imposing when looked from bottom of Cascade complex. Monument itself could use some...More

Use the Cascade escalators to the top and you cannot miss it. Continue to walk from it and you will find the entrance to the park with Mother Armenia in it. Although the monument is what one would expect it to be, the view is...More

It takes quite a hike to reach, but the view is definitely worth the effort. I did not find much information about the obelisk itself, so the tour guide explained its history and symbolism including relationships with the Soviet Union and the laurel leaf as...More

It is quite a walk up the steps after the cascades and the last sets of metal steps to the top seem a bit dodgy but great views from the top. The monument seems to be deteriorating quite rapidly and is not being maintained...perhaps reflecting...More

This obelisk reminds the past membership of Armenia in the USSR. It is accessible from the cascade after having climbed 500+ steps (you may skip some by using the escalators on the left of the complex). From the obelisk platform there is a nice view...More

This review is quite late. I happened to pass by this monument on my way to Victory Park and Mother Armenia Statue. After climbing the stairs of the Cascades I was surprised to see this tall statue next to a public park.

If you go to the Cascade steps you will want to go all they way to the top and see this impressive, tall monument. It looks a bit like the "eye of Mordor" and the plaza where it stands seems to be a popular sports...More

If you climb all those stairs, you could see the Mt. Ararat in its whole glory. The glimpse of Ararat …all you need. After that, the monument is nothing compare to what you just saw…
