Impressive statue to the architect of Yerevan. With sprawling art garden behind it. It’s a kind of a meeting place for everyone.

Rather large, reminiscent of old soviet era statues, it stands towards the lower edge of Cascade and is interesting to look at, but it is just a statue.

Alexander Tamanyan statue is the welcoming piece in from of Cascade. A tall man draped with a shawl stand crouching over a board. Looks like a man curiously looking at a piece of board and thinking on it.

The statue really seemed to convey the thinking of Tamanyan and looking at him analyze his city plan for Yerevan in this statue. He has his mother's shawl draped over his shoulders to keep warm.

The simple fact is, this is a statue in memory of an architect who laid the blue print of the capital city of Yerevan and whose original plans continue being adhered to almost a 100 years after he envisaged them. As a result, central Yerevan...More

One of the many statues in the Cascade park. It drew my attention a bit,but I cannot say it is among the best. I think the story of the man it represents it is much more interesting.
