A town full of nice food, shopping and places worth visit. I would say all are walking distance and cool weather. Save to walk around and kind people around the town.

If you're visiting Hanoi, it's definitely worth a visit walking around the Old Quarter and experience the bustling town, eat amazing street foods, and learn to cross the road like a local!

They block traffic around the lake on the weekend and there is a large street market too. Lots of hotels, hostels, bars, atms, and motorbikes. A buzzing place in every sense

Watch out for the traffic tough. You can make good bargains here. For example I changed my iPhone 6s plus screen for about 20 US dollars in 45 min.

There's loads of places for a beer. There's a couple of places right on the lakeside and plenty of places overlooking the lake. Lots of cafes/bars/ restaurants around the streets.
