A beautiful and historic architecture, that needs to be seen during the day and night. Its simply beautiful. Remember you need to see it twice, one in the day and the other at night. There are a lot of eateries, coffee joints and pubs nearby. You can see them in the panoramic pic.

The church was lovely during Christmas period. There were decorations outside and the streets around were lit up. A must visit as the inside was pretty as well.

The cathedral was named after Joseph, the patron saint of Vietnam and Indochina. Construction began in 1886, with the architectural style described as resembling Notre Dame de Paris. It was one of the first structures built by the French colonial government in Indochina when it opened in December 1886. It is the oldest church in Hanoi.

Again located in the old quarter so its at walking distance from any where in the old quarter. We tried visiting the Church,but it was closed even though we went during opening hours. We had to be happy just looking at it from outside. The gothic architecture just leaves u in Awe. There are a lot of cafes surrounding the church to just hangout

In the old quarter sits this charming Cathedral. Be cause of the covic19 we were not permitted entry to St. Joseph's Cathedral. Our guide gave us all the facts we needed to know about this gothic looking Cathdral. Come back at night and see it all lit up.
