Visited here on a group tour and it was a Sunday with a service actually taking place. You could not easily gain access as the crowds were huge. The building outside would perhaps benefit from a sand blast clean, but that does not detract from...More

It's a lovely Cathedral and still well worth a visit however it can't compete on a world scale. It's just another pretty Cathedral.

This cathedral has a rather impressive facade and one may feel it's splendidly decorated on the interior, also. this's not the case as well as the internal part of the cathedral is rather neglected, along with many from becoming remarkable. Nevertheless, the acoustics within the...More

Gorgeous stain glass windows. Authentic flag stone floors. Not clear if you could go up the towers. I suspect not. But lovely quiet surrounds. And the bells do toll at odd times - not on the quarter hour, seemed almost random.

As a practicing Christian, I was pleased to sit quietly through a Vietnamese-language service on Saturday evening and STOP for a few minutes. The Cathedral is well supported, which was a surprise to me. And St Joseph’s is a reminder of the religious diversity of...More

The church is a nice area to walk around and get the feel of the city. It was raining when we visited but that didn't stop us from enjoying the cathedral and the area around it.

Truly stands out during the chaotic streets, lots of great photo opportunities from outdoors. We visited the area and the cathedral around it which has great with small shops and many cafes. We ceased at the cafe to consume noon-time meal which was very good....More

Nice cathedral built by the French. You can enter by the side door on the left hand side down a little lane through some gates. Stain glass windows good. We were there though prayer time and that sounded beautiful.

It is not a full sung mass. There are hymns and these are accompanied by the cathedral organ.
