An interesting museum about the more modern history of Vietnam. There are many artefacts and a lot of photographs but not a lot of explanations. The photos of how the Americans treated the Vietnamese were very educational and gave a thought provoking view of the...More

After the museum of national history (across the street), I made my way to the museum of the revolution. It is smaller than the museum of national history, although to be fair it really only covers a few decades. Everything you ever wanted to know...More

A must visit place for a person visiting Vietnam for the first time. Very interesting. It is more interesting for person who has some knowledge of the history of Vietnam. You come to know how great they had been to gain independence.

The museum shows remains from the post 1948 era. Descriptions are often limited if you can’t read Vietnamese (compared to the history museum eg). It is build from a Vietnamese point of view and I imagine Vietnamese people know a lot more about the wars...More

If you are looking for this museum, it has been combined with the History Museum. We learned a lot about the history of Vietnam since the mid 1800's, via photos and their descriptions. As other reviewers say, you must follow the room sequence, then you...More

A well curated collection of exhibits showing the struggles the Vietnamese engaged in to forge their nation including a number of struggles well before those with the French and the Americans in the latter half of last century. Best to come prepared with some background...More

We visited this museum and were very impressed. The museum takes you through a history of vietnam since the french colonisation, using artefacts and photos. There is little information about how they fit into the larger context, but we really enjoyed putting the pieces together...More

The museum has some of Vietnam most important history. The plans are very interesting to look. The English text was a bit boring and badly done.

Although the topic of the museum could have been interested, we thought it was poorly executed. There was a lack of storytelling and providing context for the displays, making it very difficult to appreciate the museum or learn anything in the process

I have no idea why the reviews are so negative. The museum portrays the incredible story of Vietnamese resistance against French and Japanese invaders quite well through a display of important documents, writings, weapons and persons. The museum must be viewed from the first room...More
