A place to relax. Early morning you can see local people doing tai chi. A good place for walking and jogging. Recommended to visit if you are in Hanoi.

We liked coming here in the evenings. A slight breeze of the water was much appreciated and it was a nice change from the bustle of the Old Quarter. Some nice food in the area, too.

A fantastic lake right in the middle of the busy city. It's very lively in the evening with locals playing traditional football, wedding clicks, joggers and hawkers! A walk around this lake is refreshing.

Took a quiet walk around the lake, it's really big .. wear comfortable shoes. Lots of local families doing the same. Food vendors all over the place. A nice break from the crazy old quarter.

Takes about 40 minutes to walk around this lake in the center of the city. Nothing spectacular but definitely interesting. A nice, calm place to be.

Visited the lake for a short time listening to the story of the sword. The lake is beautiful and very peaceful with area surrounding it for tourist to just sit down and take in the serenity of it

I live in Hanoi and, although of course you have to use normal common sense in protecting your valuables, this is probably one of the safest cities in Asia. And the Hoan Kiem Lake at night is beautiful. Would recommend... More
