Amazing place to be there. To see a great leader walking past his body history at its best enjoyed it splendidly.

What a great place to respect the people who done for Vietnam. Beautiful and grand places to pay respect. Too bad it was close during our visit

Make sure you dress appropriately, ladies shoulders covered to show respect or the police may stop you entering the grounds. We didn't get in to see Ho Chi Minh but impressive from the outside and all round the grounds. Saw them changing the guards .

Monument is closed now so you stand in the sun and look from the outside. More interesting is the house and gardens where he lived although the grand house is also closed to the public

Good info provided by our guide. The mausoleum was closed for maintenance so we could not line up to see his memorial.

oops - sorry, only just saw your question. The answer is yes, especially for women and they are very strict about it. No bare knees or shoulders for men or women.
