Anchored by the Peace Memorial, these gardens offer 50 acres of trails, fields and gardens, including many flowers, trees and concrete sculptures. Two small lakes offer swan boats and fishing spots, and an island in the middle is popular for couples. There are trails for runners and cyclists, fields for sports, and ample opportunity for bird watching.

A nice park for a wander around away from the busy city centre. The foliage is beautiful in the summer.

There is nothing to see but some grass and some badly kept peacocks. The ticket staff are rude as well.

Absolutely nothing to see. The whole place exuded neglect - it was dirty. The monkeys in the cage were in a terrible condition - they looked clinically depressed. Their cage was filthy and there was nothing for them to do -no apparatus;no food, etc. Appalling....More

The Botanical Gardens is not "botanical" at all. It lacks a variety of trees. There were almost no flowers to speak of. The trees provided nice shade. The monkey cage smelled awful, and the peacock looked depressed. It is simply a small park where you...More

Have to agree with many of the other reviewers. Although it has a couple of impressive looking trees, it really is nothing to write home about. There are some cages with peacocks and depressed monkeys. some exercise equipment and some kids equipment, a lake and...More

trecking across town to these 'gardens' was just not worth the effort. dingy little park with a skanky pond - where a few naughty locals are illegally fishing the deperate fish out of the pond ... really, save your time for something else. park poorly...More

This is not a botanical garden. It is a badly maintained park - no flowers, broken swings, closed planthouses, filthy toilets. A caged peacock and some caged monkeys in dirty surroundings with absolutely nothing to stimulate them. It is cruel.

The price to get in is tiny. By it offers quite an escape from the hum-drum of the city. There isn’t much of a botanical garden thing going on - not a lot of landscaping either. There are some small cages with animals in them...More

Paid to get in, the washrooms were locked. Nothing to see here folks...keep on going. There is a reason this is not a normal tourist stop. Short walk around the park and we were gone.

Lame and underwhelming. I can't see why anyone would go to the horrible managed/designed/mantained garden. They had swings that you can't swing on (theres a bar to stop you from swinging... why?). There was also this lone peacock held in a tiny cage which was...More

Dogs would have to be on a lead, I don't think there would be much of an issue though. Most dog owners walk the west lake but again, your dog would have to be on a lead. I haven't seen any area's in Hanoi where dogs can have... More
