It was interesting to see the conditions to where the insemination process is performed but when you go into the showroom it's like you've walked in to a shopping centre. Very pushy sales techniques and expensive items.

We stopped here on the way back to the hotel. I figured it was the last attempt to get us to do some shopping so a bunch of us were reluctant to get off the bus. However our hostess did a very good job explaining...More

Just another place to get tourists money. Nothing much to see except the usual girls working on pearls (when the customers come in ). very boring and not worth a visit.

They take you through a tour of a pearl farm as an excuse to try sell you pearls... they pay the tours anyway for taking you there. We kayaked around the bay and the amount of litter and pollution from the pearl farm is disgusting,...More

Tour bus stop for restrooms on the way to Halong Bay cruises. The explanation of pearl production is very interesting, and the store inside has hard core, high pressure sales people. We bought some expensive pearls that are beautiful, but the prices everywhere else that...More

We consider ourselves as well traveled hence at first thought that we had ended up in a tourist trap by our driver. However we were pleasantly surprised by the pearl cultivation process and the different types of pearls. Once you understand the difference in quality...More
