The Secret Garden was a discovery!
I took a motorcycle taxi from Jomtien Beach to The Statue and Gardens. The Buddhas are stunning, but, right below the Temple was a closed off, unkempt Garden. Like a secret, i couldnt resist crossing the barriers! Im glad I did!

    Beautiful
Amazing view. Very pretty temple. I think the trinkets you could buy were a little overpriced. I came across a night market later on and could find the same items for a less expensive price.

    Gorgeous Big Buddha
We took a 4 hour private tour for our group of 5. The Big Buddha Temple was our first stop. The Budha statue is tall and at the center at the end of a walking path with many steps. There are several other Buddha statues in the area too. At the back, the view of Pattaya city is great. The Big Buddha Temple is a must visit place in Pattaya.

The Big Buddha Viewpoint in Pattaya, located on Pratumnak Hill
The Big Buddha Viewpoint in Pattaya, located on Pratumnak Hill, offers one of the city's most breathtaking panoramic views. Overlooking Pattaya Bay and the bustling city below, the viewpoint is adjacent to the Big Buddha Temple, known for its towering 18-meter golden Buddha statue. Visitors ascend a staircase flanked by naga serpents to reach the summit. The viewpoint provides a serene escape from the city's hustle, with a tranquil atmosphere ideal for reflection and photography. It’s a favored spot for both tourists and locals, especially at sunset, capturing the vibrant beauty of Pattaya’s skyline and coastline.

We recently visited the Big BuddhaTemple in Pattaya Thailand. As you climb the stairs you will get a great look at the beautiful main statue. After you reach the top you’ll see several other smaller statues that are indeed a sight to see. The whole temple area will take less than an hour to tour. It is definitely worth a visit but keep in mind that it is a tourist attraction. It is free to visit but Donations are how they keep it open.
If you go please remember it is a Temple. Dress appropriately and keep children under control.
You can get there by taxi or tuck-tuck from Pattaya Beach for 250 Thai baht or 5 usd. I recommend that you have your driver wait for you as transportation back isn’t readily available. You might have to wait for up to an hour for a ride.

Got to go to this if in Pattaya. Get a taxi there and take off your shoes and take a little walk around. There is maintainence going on now but still good opportunity for lots of photos. Not over commercialised although there are vendors. Great view for highest point. It’s a peaceful and almost spiritual and as a non religious man I found it a great experience.

On top of a hill.. 10 years ago. Perhaps the highest vantage point at that time. Fast forward to October 2020.. And this sanctuary has become lost in the urban sprawl that is Pattaya today.
Good views from the top on a clear day. No entrance fee. Several statues and little shops to purchase what ever religious items devotees may require.
At the bottom of the stairs there are some basic shops for drinks and snacks.
The stairs are an easy climb.. But i did not see any wheelchair signs or ramps for people that required mobility assistance.

Glad i got to check it off my list.
Would i recommend this site... Not so sure... I have seen other places nearby that has made a far greater impression.
The choice is yours ultimately.

The location of this temple is on a hill , a good point to see the city and the sprawling beach . The main idol is at present under renovation and is covered but one can have the idea of size.. A good place to visit if you are in Pattaya but not a must see

Went to make offering at hilltop Big Buddha Temple, roses and garland, candles, joss sticks, fire crackers and gold leaf all included in offering. Apart from the fire crackers, very peaceful place with great views out over Pattaya bay and the city below. Outdoor cafe area with shady trees and views over the city. Best food comprised toast and honey with banana slices, reasonably priced. Came away after 1 and 1/2 hour visit feeling very relaxed. Well worth a look, not just to pay your respects

The giant Buddha can be reached after a quiet walk in a public park in Pattaya.
You reach the feet of the Buddha via a large staircase flanked by 2 long golden dragons. All around there are 2 rows of Tibetan bells which must be rung for good luck.
Once you reach the top, the majestic golden statue opens up in front of you. Around it other smaller statues dedicated to the days of the week. For a few baths you can free up a bird cage to wash your carma a little. Always with some change you can try your luck by testing your aim, throwing the coin into the Buddha's navel or trying to keep the coin standing on the large stone under the pagoda.

Also highly recommended for panoramic shots.

We recommend visiting after 4pm when the heat makes the climb easier.

Use an hour one afternoon to go to a place with peace and quiet (though you will find one Chinese tour group after the other). See the 9 Buddhas of Thailand, and enjoy the beautiful view of Jomtien and Pattaya.

Walking up there can be a bit strenuous, so go by grab, taxi or songthaew. The walk from the parking lot to the main Buddha is easy consisting of only 40 small steps

The main Buddha is undergoing some construction work but still worth a visit. It has several fairly big Buddhas and also lots of small buddhas in the temple. There is Buddhist monk who can do a small prayer and you can put any amount you want in the donation box. You can do joss stick and candle offering by lighting them(20thai bahts) with that you will see a small piece of paper it has a very thin gold strip which you can stick on the Buddha. This place has something which will make you feel happy and calm.
