Decided to walk up from our hotel; was an enjoyable day trip. The views are great and something different. Just to note that women need to have skirt/pants below knee length; otherwise will need to hire a skirt/sarong. Would recommend!!!

Took our scooter up to big Buddha mountain. Was a good ride there and back. Interesting activity to see everything at big Buddha. Especially for no fee. Although did make donations. Recommended

too many Chinese, the view from the mountain is stunning, but very hot, a good place to walk before sunset

The Buddha itself is very impressive and, with the sun shining on it, makes a great photo. Not so impressed with the state of the surrounds and everyone trying to sell. Maybe we were just there on a bad day but there was a lot...More

Big Buddha is situated on a small hillock and we can reach the top through steps. This Big Buddha is very attractive in Golden colour. Around this statue, there are several small Buddhas. The location is wonderful, giving a beautiful view of the Pattaya city....More

Big tourist trap with tons of tourists and locals taking lots of pictures. There must be 40-50 “donation” boxes for Buddha. If you want to just go take picture then it’s ok. Can see everything in 10 minutes total. Parking is difficult.

a quick taxi ride from our hotel, very interesting, and you can be blessed by the monks for a small donation, great views out to sea and inland, take water as its boiling hot up there. allow 30 to 45 mins for your visit.

Hi. I went with a private driver. But there were buses there. If you go with a private driver you can leave once you’ve finished your visit there. We were there around 9.30 am. It wasn’t quite busy. But still easy to walk... More

About half hour walk or 10 minutes by motor bike taxi. Taxis are not metres in Pattaya. So you could try the 10 baht bus going up Soi Buakao or walk to baech road and get a baht bus there. Take a baht bus from South Pattaya... More

Do either. I walk but if you are tired use bike. Plenty of parking spaces ..no problem. Both the areas you mention are worth a visit so go to both.
