I came across this temple while wondering the old part of Chiang Mai. It is a small but nice temple with a nice statue of Buddha inside. Also had a small eatery at the front on a Sunday night.

Small temple. Well kept temple grounds with lots of cute art. They advertise that you can chat with a monk on Saturdays, but sent me to Wat Chedi Luang for that. All in all a little too touristy for my taste.

Whole of Chaing Mai is dotted with such temples made of excellent architecture. People seem to have poured money to maintain them.

It's not located on the main street but it's not too hard to find. The best point was the Buddha light. How cool is that !

We saw a lot of temples in this area, but this one was a nice small one to see. I suggest doing this temple along with others to get a comparison of big to small.

Beautiful temple, not the grandest, but small and quiet. And no massage or food and drink stalls at the entry (which I prefer - I can get those things elsewhere). Plenty of shade and respite from the pulse of the old city. It was nice...More
