Overview
More
Elephant Rescue National Park is an ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project located in Doi Inthanon National Park area; Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is a cooperative between members of the Karen hill-tribes who are elephant care takers and Chiang Mai locals who work with tribal people and elephants for many years and concern about elephant’s health and quality of life. At Elephant Rescue National Park, the income from visits, volunteers and donations is used for elephant rescue, food, veterinary care and also management which are lunch, transportation, maintenance and staffs. We work hard to balance between offering the worthy experience to visitors and sharing love to the elephants for good health, freedom and happiness they truly deserve.

My friend and I searched hard for a humane elephant sanctuary, and I think we definitely found it with the Elephant Rescue National Park! We got to feed, pet and get in the water with/bathe the elephants, and there is no riding. The best part...More

Tough to find a responsible, respectful place to visit and interact with elephants in Chiang Mai but this place was awesome! They had a large property where you get to feed, hike into the forest, play in the mud bath and river with the 4...More

This rescue park felt more like a zoo than a wildlife rescue park for the elephants. We gained very little information about the elephants, and the “guide” did not share with us any information on how to first greet the elephants, which can be very...More
