The area
Address
Neighborhood: Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.

    An experience
The price is too high compared to the quality. The bar is located in a beautiful location where you can see the whole city at night. If you choose this place to enjoy a drink, there will be many other options at a better price.

Glad we went, almost a "must-do" in Bangkok - unless you're scared of heights.
I was a little apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, but there were no Shenanigans about getting us in a bar on the lower floors or pressurising us into a glass of champagne. Service was impeccable. There is a good selection of cocktails, the prices are eye-watering though. But the views are awesome - that's what you come for. The time to go is at dusk - watching the skyline go dark over Bangkok.

Beautiful bar with good customer service - but weird implementation on dress code policy
Overall ambience - good, the view is undeniably stunning. The drinks are expensive and they have strict guidelines on attire/dress code. It was a late Monday night but it was still busy. I think women are expected to come in classier attire and no beach sandals or the likes are allowed. Men on the other hand, are not allowed to wear caps, shorts, etc. I personally had to be careful with this because I heard a story of a friend who came here and had to be sold clothes just to be able to get in. My experience was kind of weird though as I saw a guy (definitely not a local) wearing shorts - casually passing by. I just felt a bit unfair because they even try to sell clothes just to make sure everyone is wearing the right clothing. Think it might have been an employee since I saw him pass through the staff only door (LOL) but nevertheless, still not a good sight to see especially if the rest of the crowd did their best to adhere to the dress code. The rest of the staff gave good customer service. General experience was ok, bit pricey but will probably check other nearby spots next time I visit Bangkok.

    Very worth every penny
My business partner and I did have an excellent experience here at Red Sky Bar. The food was superb. We ordered Wagyu steak and lobster pasta. Both of them are succulent and flavorful. Worth every penny. We also were treated very well with great hospitality. Our waiters were Por and Zelle.

    Wonderful experience
Wonderful stunning views and service. Ron was very attentive and engaging. Yes, drinks are on the higher end but it is absolutely worth it. Unlike in many other rooftop bars in Bangkok you will not be asked to pre-order/pay your drink or pay a minimum spend upfront before you enter. We loved everything about this bar ❤️

    Just bloody fabulous
You cannot fault the service and the views are beautiful. I visited during quiet times (rainy season) but that did not detract. Cindy was my first “host” when we talked it felt sincere - she appreciated I love life! Then Andrei the intern 1 he is humble and attentive - I can see him running his own business.

Yes the Sky Bar has a unique view across Bangkok and the river, but it is a Tourist RIP OFF. On arrival at the top of the lift you are treated by a mob of hostesses who immediately guide you to another bar, yes one that has nobody in it. Having been to the Sky Bar before I knew this was wrong but from other reviews clearly others fell for this trap. Then they take you to the Champagne Bar which again is not the Sky Bar, so again I went to the far end which is SB. However on rote the staff are abrupt and bossy, Saying things like “quickly move this way”, and “no you cant stand there” and “no photographs from the best viewing point” .
Their excuse was the privacy of dining guests who are some 50 meters away and therefore not identifiable in night pictures. But then you can take pictures from the bar area which is next to dining table, that makes no sense. as others have said the drink are extortionate at 1000 but a piece, and there is no seating for bar guests.
Now I do understand this business having worked in it for many year at senior management level, and can see why they do not want sightseers just walking around taking pictures, but I was a guest of the hotel.
It is simple to control visitors to the hotel, simply sell them a drink voucher at the base of the lift, many would walk away but they would not be spending money anyway. the attitude of the SB does not represent the very helpful staff dealing with yet hotel operation
Sky Bar is unwelcoming, overpriced and a waste of money, there are other Roof Top bars across the city, just try some of them.

I recommend everyone who’s in Thailand to go there at least once to enjoy the unbeatable views from the 64th floor. At the same time, there some things you should be aware of before you go:

1. The dress code is strict there. Do google it before you go. You cannot wear sportswear, men cannot wear shorts (even really fancy expensive shorts by Ralph Lauren), and if you are not dressed up enough - they will send you to rent clothes in their rental right near the dress code point. And you will have to pay for wearing some cheap trousers from the Bangkok market for a couple hours.

2. They have a requirement for a minimal order - at least 1 drink per each person. Drinks start at around $35-50 per cocktail. In fact there are 4 bars on the terrace, each more ridiculously expensive than another. Apperol Spritz in Pink bar (also on the same terrace) is more than $100 for a glass and is based not on some rare collection prosecco but just on a regular prosecco.

3. There is A LOT of service staff. Even more than visitors. And they all would be kindly reminding you to order that damn drink. We understood we were going to a pricey place and were ready to order but with the staff’s insisting questions it did not feel OK honestly.

4. In fact, the terrace has 4 bars, but I recommend to stick to the Sky Bar because: a) it’s the most reasonable in pricing (you can get a really good cocktail at around $40, and all barmen are really friendly) b) it has live jazz music c) it has the largest outdoor area with really amazing views.

The views in the bar are really fantastic and worth seeing at least once. It gives a bird’s flight feeling and with that jazz music is bringing you to the other worlds. But all the above makes the experience too complicated to come back. I’ll go for another rooftop next time.

We had an absolutely wonderful week in Bangkok, in every possible way. Everything was perfect, except the sky bar at Lebua.

This is an utter disgrace for the city and the Thai people, and I will explain why.

As a travel professional I have travel the world for decades, and there is only one thing i really dislike: When someone is trying to con me. And that is what this former icon has becom - a scam.

The lift stops many floors below the famous skybar at the top. A batch of synchronized waiters welcome each elevator, hustling you to a table, taking your order before you understand where you are. We understood quickly, and asked to be taken to the top. They really tried to sell us overpriced drinks, and it got uncomfortable when we told them we did not want to stay at this floor.

Then we went back into the elevator and got of at the top. Once again a pack of waiters were ready to try the next con. This time they led us to a champagne bar where drinks were 2500 baths, each..... We saw several guests being ripped off, because the same drinks cost 900 baths a few feet away. (Still extemely expensive).

You might say people should have known about this, but that was not the impression we got. This is well organized and they really go above and beyound to trick you.

And you don't have to buy anything.

The other skybars like the Vertigo and the CRU at Centara are both FAR better than this, with a great ambiance.

Drinks were horrible and overpriced. My partner and I had asked to be brought to the sky bar by the staff in the lift and we were shuffled into the pink bar on lower floor with another group of people. Prices there start at 60 euro a glass for champagne, no way in hell could we justify spending that on a drink. The staff put you in a really awkward position to take a seat there and are hovering over you waiting for you to order. We left there and went to the sky bar, again we were taken to another part of the bar around the back, I'm not sure why the simply did not want us to go to the proper sky bar that's advertised in pictures ! We got there eventually and it's 30 euro + for one drink, you cannot sit down on the empty tables unless you're ordering some snacks, I saw most people ordering just one bowl of peanuts. I'm not sure what I was expecting but there was little to no atmosphere up there but views were really amazing. I wouldn't recommend it.

Went to Sky bar on recommendation but didn’t read the reviews, it’s well rehearsed and slick operation to part you with your cash. When you reach the 57 floor the lift stops and offers you to try the new bar we declined and carried on to the 64th, then they usher you to another lift to try there latest pink champagne bar down to 61st but again we went back up to 64th. You are then approached by six girls to order a drink as you enter, champagne is what they are pushing you to have at 2800 Baht per glass plus service and tax, we had a Bellini and a rum and coke with service and tax 5100 Baht.Yes the views are great, a cool bar but don’t be a mug like us. If you must go ask to go straight to the circular roof bar were the drinks are slightly cheaper.

So everyone wants to go to Sky Bar following the Hangover 2 film...and we were no exception. We were actually staying in the hotel so may have had a different experience to those that just come to visit the bar, and whilst expensive - we did enjoy our cocktails at Sky Bar.

Please note there is a strict dress code but there are shops near the hotel entrance where you can rent/buy clothes and shoes if you aren't in suitable attire.

Cocktails start from 950 baht (£24) which is before service charge/tax. They do have lots of Hangover themed cocktails and the bar staff are excellent and can make recommendations.

The view is awesome - the city, the river, the dome/steps where some of the film scenes took place. The bar is standing only and does get busy, but totally understand why so many people want to visit Sky Bar.

We also went to Alfresco 64 bar on the 64th floor which we prefered. You don't get a view of the dome or the lit up bar against the Bangkok cityscape, however whisky drinks start from 650 baht (£15) and there is a DJ and still some awesome views.

If you do your research before you come you know this is going to be an expensive experience and people aren't exaggerating on the prices! The service is 5*. You are walked through by a waitress all the way to the top. They were kind and polite. When taken up the lift you will probably get taken to the champagne bar first but with a polite no thankyou you will get taken to the sky bar. We went just before sun set. The views were lovely and the waitresses /hosts are great at taking photos for you I felt like I was in a photo shoot and we got some lovely photos! Watching the sunset with a live band in the background was beautiful. For a special occasion this was a great place.

This is the most expensive sky bar drink I have ever experienced, 1000 thb (35 USD) for a cocktail. But the views is so feb, those Bangkok view over the river .

Noted there are many sky bars ( been told that 6 different bars) on this hotel , the most popular one is on 64 floor.

For dinner there suggested to do reservation, for bars no need to reservation, can just walk in .Only that your grooming need to be aware of :) .

We attended for sunset suitably dressed and were met by efficient staff who met us at the top of the elevator and were keen to seat us for eating. When declined we were triple escorted to the Pink Bar and offered champagne starting at $2700 (nearly £75 a glass). After politely declining we were escorted to a balcony cocktail bar where I got a poor Old Cuban Cocktail and a Long Island Tea. It was accompanied by olives and nuts which appeared complimentary as provided but were charged to me on the bill. The bill for two drinks came to $3600 which is £87. We were then escorted to the cocktail bar which is the bar pictured in all the adverts. Photography was not allowed on route until met by more staff touting more drinks of the same type in order to reach the bar. So the rub then; This place is a well orchestrated tourist RIP off trap. For 360 views and decent but not cheap cocktails go to the Banyan Tree Sky Bar. The views are far better as are the cocktails. The Leboa Sky Bar is well worth missing. Massively 63rd floor disappointment.

Didn't stay at the lebua hotel but the visit at the sky bar was enough for me. When you go there be careful that they don't trick you at the eating area but also at the champange bar.. Say that you want to go straight at the roof top. Because I thought I was at the top floor when I was actually at the champange bar. But it turned out after very over prized and expensive drinks that it wasn't. If you want cheap drinks you won't get them here. If you want good service you get that but when you have payed the staff ignores you totally. And you can't take photos if you haven't payed something. But if you want good photos and don't mind to pay it then go at the champange bar and look carefully how much one drink actually is.There was really windy at the rooftop sky bar.
