Fabulous place. Wasn't able to visit the palace as there was some celebration on the day. All the surrounding areas are very beautiful with fabulous sculptors. The entrance ticket costs 100 bahts.
I would recommend visiting all the attractions before heading across the river by boat. Please haggle well as we got ripped off and someone else mentioned it costs no more 10-15 bahts.

Just to provide information that there is disability toilet inside the paid area, next to the female toilet. However, if you wants to get on the Wat Arun, there are only steep stairs.

We visited Wat Arun around 2.30pm, it was scorching hot, however, there are shady places for us to rest.
This temple is very beautiful and great for photos. The stairs are steep and narrow, however, after we climbed up, we were rewarded with the best scenery overlooking Choa Phraya river.
Best to wear tops with sleeves and long pants, or bring a shawl to cover as sign of respect.
Worth a visit!

Beautiful location. You will be walking to great heights (optional if you don't want to but well worth it). We went closer to sunset and had spectacular photos. Make sure to take up close photos too. Also take photos from different angles.

This is definitely one of the famous and most beautiful spots in Bangkok. Its prangs are simply impressive, especially the central one which is 70meters high! To get there we took one of the "taxi rivers" or boats navigating the Chao Phraya River, which was cheap and very convenient. Before roaming around the complex, we rented some traditional Thai costumes for only 200 Bahts and took lots of photos posing while wearing them. It was a really fun experience! 😀

Really amazing architecture, close to the river, which makes the visit even more impressive. You should plan to visit before it closes, and stay for the sunset, when the color of the pinnacles become unparalleled beautiful. A must-see in Bangkok!

We arrived by hop-on hop-off boat on the river to one of their piers. Entrance was 100 Bahts cash each and included a small bottle of water which was welcomed. We had a walk around the beautiful site and loved the decorated buildings. We climbed some steps up one of the temples which were extremely steep and without handles which were not for the faint hearted! We attended on a Sunday and there were lots of young locals here who were dressed in beautiful costumes for photo opportunites.
We had to wait in a long queue for the local water taxi to cross the river to leave the site and to go to Wat Pho.

Yes , there's an entrance fee for visiting the temple, as I remember it was about 100 Bht.
If you don't have a proper dress you can rent a sarong at the entrance of the temple.
Going there Early in the morning is highly recommended.

most people go to Wat Arun using water transportation. so better to take BTS to Saphan Taksin. Then from Saphan Taksin pier, just take a boat (there are many options, the premium one or the public transport you can choose) they will stop at Wat Arun.

What's the best way to reach Wat Arun by BTS? I have easy access to Phra Khanong BTS station. I'd like to rely on public transport over cabs to reach given the traffic scene here. Any suggestions?

You can take the nearest BTS station to Saphan Taksin, which is well connected to the Chao Phraya Express Boat at Sathorn Pier, where you can easily find a boat to take you to No.8. After getting off the boat, take ferry that takes you to the opposite side of the river!!

Hello, unfortunately, I have no idea. I did visit some temples today in Chiang Mai and they are all open. Please be careful with taxi drivers telling you that they are closed. They sometimes try to take you elsewhere.
