Great local feeling

This market is more a food market than usual night markets. There is not so much shopping in the area.

I found the night market to be both entertaining and disappointing. The sights and smells were about as authentic Taiwan as it gets, but the peddling cheap goods and lack of culture distracted from the experience.

Though I have not been to many night markets in Taipei, I find Ningxia very very interesting, and I'll make sure to go back when I next fly to Taipei. Extremely crowded with locals, you can see the food standards there are really good not just for the night market stalls but also the eateries lined up by the side... More

Yes, it's not as large as the other night markets, but it does have its own charm. It is true that there's not much walking space or maybe there aren't enough food stalls but i'm not sure why that is an issue. What Ningxia night market brings to the table is its collection of local flavors and new inspirations to... More

Visited night market today in the evening. Very small place, local food kiosks, but nothing too special. We have also tried this oyster omelette, it was long some queue there. Eating had more factory feeling, then dinner. Quickly to small table. Omelette wasn't anyhow special and structure was like jelly. So , I guess that its more tourist attraction then... More

We had one of the best Oyster omelette' in Taiwan at a shop near the entrance of Ningxia Night Market. I think the name is Lai Ji Oyster Omelette shop . See photos . Also great foods throughout the market and a famous place making rice balls. Looked great by line was way too long.

This market is small but with a lot of food choice!!! From salt to sweet and fruit! All Taiwanese food. Food was great! It Is well known by the local people, no tourists. It's a row of stands on your left and on your right, but there are restaurants aside as well. Be aware that in the week end is... More

Just been here couple nights again and we were quite disappointed. This night market was very small. It's really just one block long and it's only one aisle on one side of the street. Yes, the food is good and unique, but it's really too small.

Significantly smaller than the Shinlin night market but if you are near this one then surely worth a walk through. Ample food choices. Opens at around 5:00 PM although all stalls are operational more like by 6:00. You can go there early (5 - 5:30 pm) to avoid the crowd and get yourself the "taro ball cake with the egg... More
