Stumbled on to this via TripAdvisor. High quality performances by people who are clearly passionate about the show. We had a 90 minute show including intermission. Acrobatics and martial arts demonstration was top notch!

Teipei eye is accessible by any transportation in Taipei, I took the trains so it was quite a walk through shops and a hospital. The walk to and fro was an added bonus during my Taipei sightseeing. Going back, the ushers were kind to direct me to the ticket booth (as I did not have any reservation), it was quick.... More

This is a Chinese opera performance. However, before the performance you can watch the performers putting on make-up, getting dressed (you can even get dressed in one of the costumes and they will gladly take you picture(s)) and practicing for the performance. The first half of the show is an acrobatic performance, then intermission, followed by an excerpt from a... More

This was a very enjoyable way to spend an hour. I loved that it was not overly long and the tickets for two of us were around $28 USD. I purchased them online ahead of time and the process of picking them up at the box office was a breeze. The theatre had an English translation (along with Japanese and... More

While in Taipei I wanted to know about Taipei culture so I decided to visit TaipeiEYE. I booked its ticket in advance but I found it that one need not book in advance as it available on the spot also. Its a one hour show. The quality was good but nothing great or extraordinary. I have seen much better performances... More

As a Westerner, there's no denying that this comes across as a bit bizarre. The singing, which is generally limited to the first 15 minutes or so, is more of a high pitched wailing (there are subtitles). After that, it became more of an acrobatic show, which was very impressive, even if I struggled to follow what was meant to... More

The family which operates this theater clearly cares about quality cultural entertainment, their community, and the country of Taiwan. The show, which changes periodically, is entertaining and fun. It is not simply Chinese opera. The experience is a multi-dimensional performance of poignant acting and story-telling, beautiful costumes and make-up, dynamic acrobatics, sword-fighting, and live music performed by an orchestra! Language... More

TaipeiEYE is a delightful experience. It is inexpensive, entertaining, and a lot of fun! Make time to go and see this--regardless of which opera is being performed. Lasts about an hour...you won't regret it!

When my wife suggested going to this show I was a little doubtful. Peking Opera is not my thing. However the performance was not Chinese opera at all. It was famous story known by most Chinese and was mainly acting and acrobatics. Singing was to the minimum. The performers were brilliant gymnasts and the fight scenes were so skilful. I... More

Although just mentioned on the last page of a traveller information, we decided to go to the theater TaipeiEye and we enjoyed it! The location is easily found by MRT - ask for the Cement Hall! We were welcomed with a cup of tea, had a good place in the auditory and enjoyed the story of the Monkey Business in... More
