It is a long way down but steps are not too difficult. Be prepared though that you have to ascend later! But it is worth the view. First go to see the waterfall outside and then the cave...because when you go to the cave, you...More

Not many times we got the surprise that a 3 at TripAdvisor becomes a 1 in our evaluation. LonelyPlanet is calling this the Mahadev Cave pg211. So massy and so not well maintened that I can not recommend anyone to take the trip here.

It is located further few kilometers from Seti River Gorge. Nice garden is developed with trees and flowers. Nothing much inside the caves, its just 100 meters of walking till dead end. It can be maintained with more care.

This is a beautiful place but it was packed with schoolchildren when we went so it was hard to appreciate the beauty and serenity inside.

I heard a lot about Mahendra Cave and went there for a visit. It was quite a short trip inside the cave than the time it took to travel there.

Long cave. Needs careful stepping. Gets crowded. Once heard that one rare Himalayan species of bat resides here, probably the reason why the place has stinking smell.

Nothing spectacular here. It is a long cave with a small temple at the end. It was too crowded when we visited.
