I spent a couple of hours walking through this crowded packed local market, and the experience was great ! The vendors are fun and welcoming, and I shared samosas with one of the ladies who had a clothing stall here !

You can get everything you need in the streets and alleys near here. It's also a good place to just park yourself and watch Kathmandu and the tourists go by.

Great area to "get lost" , zigzag through the little streets and experience the local market streets by joinig it. Great way to spend a couple of hours.

This is well worth a visit! Take your camera lots of interesting pictures abound. Be careful of the motorcycles, they seem to come from everywhere. Lots of interesting vegetables and even jerky for sale. Dead chickens and fish. Great experience!

This was an amazing place to walk, take in the sights, smells, sounds and excitement. This market is very very crowded and you have to watch out for the many motorcycles and scooters that try to maneuver through the streets. You can find everything here....More

Very busy which adds to the feel!! We ended up here by mistake but glad we did.The street is crammed with colour, smells and distinct sounds of Nepal life

well, if you go in wee hour u will find nothing much so i f you really want to experience the local hustle... i think late afternoon is the perfect time to visit the place
