The tour escort told us to go shopping in the morning, as usually, if you were the first customer stepping into their store, they'd offer you a decent price - one that you cannot refuse. Well, give it a try!

Full of shops, full of colors and culture. It is worth a visit for sure even if you don't buy anything it is great just walking around.

I enjoyed roaming the streets of Thamel. Appreciating the beautiful handcraft and just seeing happy and friendly people on the streets was a beautiful sight.

A small crowded district in the heart of Kathmandu city. That's Thamel. Plenty of hostels and low budget hotels...makes it a favourite for tourists. Awesome nightlife.

Disgusting, muddy, and pungent, we loved Thamel. Great to explore, amazing for souvenirs, and plenty of excellent and cheap food. Just lose yourself for hours. We did.

Heavy rain is easy to find in the end of May, so I think you need to bring a rain cover jacket. The temperature is hot in Kathmandu, T-shirts is OK in the city.

Yes-Suggest plenty of Camping gear available ,but as we were already set up did not particularly take notice. Would be pretty certain you would have no problems- Also sure they are available in Pokara.
