City Hall right in the centre of the plateau is a striking building of Portuguese architectural style. It overlooks the main square and is one of several imposing buildings in Praia.

Unfortunately a little too obscured/hard to get a decent wideshot for photos of the building alone, since the colour and design deserve it, but still worth a look.

Faces a busy street, but if walking it is also in front of a beautiful restful park with vendors of everything from coco water to candy and ice cream. There is street parking around and just a short walk around the corner is the President's House.

A wonderful tour and sadly on our return a month later there was not time to do this tour again. The hour long tour in the town and the remaining time showing us the countryside and Banana Road with its lovely little cottages and banana trees with a chance to sample the local licquers and then visit the beach market was very interesting and nice to visit.…
