At the far end of the plateau in the direction of the lighthouse you'll find the Presidential Palace, A grand building in pastel yellow. It stands in grounds but it is easily seen from the street. It is well guarded and as I walked around I took a photo and the guards didn't mind.

I was disappointed. You can only see the building from outside. It is guarded and you cannot get inside to see it up close.

The surrounding garden is lovely... to look at, since you can't actually access it. But it's all very picturesque. Armed security stand guard but don't mind you taking pics.

I walked by the area to see if I could enter, but I could not. There was a soldier guarding the main entrance and I was allowed to take pictures. The building was colorfully painted and it would have been great to go in. The surrounding area is probably the nicest places in Praia so make sure to take a look and check out the view towards the mountains and the beaches.
