We had a lovely time with our guide Tom. We had only 4 hours to spend as we had other plans at 1100. So he took us to a nearby national park in Victoria Falls area. The safari vehicle was awesome for viewing animals and scenery! Tom was very knowledgeable about the area and animals including birds! We had a nice surprise as Tom pulled into a viewing area with raised hut. We had tea and muffins and watched as animals came to the water hole for drink! Then returned us in time for us to go to our next activity! We were limited to the amount of animals we saw, but that was not Tom's fault as our time restriction affected where we could go for Safaris. The only reason I give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the park again our schedule is the reason for that. Tom was great!! Ask for him if/ when you use their services/ company!

We booked three last minute safaris with Muzie at the Avani Resort. The first was was a morning safari to Zimbabwe (quick border crossing first thing in the morning) with a great guide and engaging driver and our first sight of a sable antelope. In the afternoon we did a fantastic game drive and walk with white rhino in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. There was a short, torrential rainstorm during our drive and after this the game were even more plentiful, including a hippo wandering by the side of the road, a crocodile on the road, large herd of wildebeest, a family of warthogs, zebra, velvet monkeys, and impala. Then we went with a ranger to the rhino area: what an experience to wander near six of these incredible animals. Our final safari was the day trip to Chobe in Botswana (make sure you get a Kaza visa on entry into Zambia which enables you to do all these trips) . After the car, boat and safari jeep, we had crossed the two borders and arrived at the Chobe Safari Lodge where our boat safari departed from. The amount of game that we saw on the safari was impressive (lizards, warthog, impala, large herd of cape water buffalo, hippopottamus both in and out of the water, and a large number of elephant families coming down to the water. Our charming captain ensured that we had enough time to enjoy the animals before she moved on to another vantage point. After an okay buffet lunch back at the lodge, we went on a game drive with the entertaining David. This is where the number of elephants became almost overwhelming, with family after family walking past us, grazing by the water or inland and we came across one family sleeping. When we stopped for a cold drink there were even elephant within 5 meters of us. In addition to the animals we saw on the river safari, we saw giraffe, kudu and eagles. We were delighted with each of these safari and recommend the company.

We stayed in Victoria Falls town and asked them Chobe Day Trip. They were very polite and completely on time. About payment, they came our hotel with card machine and we paid by card. We didn't need to pay in advance. We were together with my son 6 years old but we could pass Botswana border without any problem. We brought Birth Certificate in English and their staff supported us at the border immigration. We saw a lot of animals which live in Chobe National Park. It was amazing experience. Our family cannot forget that day.

Getting to Chobe from Victoria Falls involves crossing borders. Worth it? I think so in retrospect. Te park has two characteristics. The first is the up-front in-your-face animal spotting. However, the second is different. The Zambezi flows through the preserve and the animals in droves aim towards it, going through the brush in packs and lines. So you get an open vista of different herds on a plain as far as the eye can see into the distance. Quite different from the routine either in the Serengeti or South Africa. Consider it for a day trip while at the Falls
