It has a great location exactly in the heart of Rabat.
The facilities are great and the hall itself is very huge.
Sound distribution is good in there.

For the last 12 years I've travelled to Rabat atleast once a year, during these visits I've been to this theatre several times and all these times I had an entertaining/ amusing evening, however this was not because of the theatre itself. As far as I know this is the only theatre in town, it has one big hall with a balcony, but it is far too big in comparison to the people that come to visit it. As a result it must be low on funding, something that is clearly visible if you see the state of the toilets.. the performances are nice, but the theatre realy needs urgent funding!!.. such a pity that this is happening in the capital of Morocco. A country where they are so proud of their culture, but where nobody is really willing to invest in culture and bring it closer to the people by maintaining and improving their cultural facilities such as this theatre.

We had a wonderful evening watching Rigoletto with the Moroccan Philharmonic. The theatre is quite large and the acoustics are wonderful for opera. The seats were surprisingly comfortable. The lobby facility isn't the best in the world, and it will be full of smoke on the intermissions. But the people working there are SUPER nice. I understand that a new opera house is being built in the BouRegeg valley. I hope the national theatre continues to be used. It was a lovely experience.
